Heidi has been my
instructor and trainer for the past six years now (and of course,
for many years to come). She has helped me with three very
different young horses during that time. I consider Heidi a
“thinking” trainer – she doesn’t try to apply the same formula to
all horses and riders, but customizes every training day based on
what we need help with at that time – and it always works!
She can push me to think (and work) outside the box, and sometimes
I really need that push.
As a
professional, I admire her ongoing investment in her own training
education (through clinics, trips to Germany, and symposiums)
which is a direct benefit to me as her student. I
really appreciate her ability to teach so much of what she has
learned over the years.
Having just completed the
first phase of the USDF L program, I came to realize how much
Heidi has improved my eye as well as my riding! I attribute
my success in the first four sessions of that program directly to
her teaching. Through the past several years, she has
imparted so much knowledge about training, riding, biomechanics,
gaits; it’s a bit of a surprise to reflect back on what I DIDN’T
know pre-Heidi!
She is always professional
and never stops teaching and helping me to reach my riding goals
and improve my partnership with my horses.

Heidi is one of the best all around instructors I
have ever trained with. She is patient, hard working,
organized and most of all fun. I have brought five different
horses and ponies to her for dressage and jumping lessons and no
one is more gifted at picking out asymmetry issues and developing
different exercises for each individual horse to strengthen any
weaknesses. Every lesson has a purpose for both you and the
horse and you always know safety is the number one priority.
Her barn and arenas are always immaculate and every horse on the
property is given the best care possible.

seven years. She has taught me so much about Dressage and
Eventing. I can always depend on her to help me if my horse
or I don’t understand a certain movement or technique. Heidi
